Today, I’m hosting American students who are spending part of their studies in Lyon as part of the USAC program (https://usac.edu/study-abroad-programs/france/lyon).

They’ve come to explore the south of France. On the agenda: various cultural visits around Marseille and Aix, and… a hike in the Calanques.

We started from Luminy for a half-day of sunshine, nature, and panoramic views, heading toward the Calanque de Sugiton. Since summer is over, it’s cooler and less crowded, which makes this hike more enjoyable.

Magnificent panoramic views, a bit of local history, and information about the environment fuel our friendly and pleasant conversations.
